"Bright Star," a musical by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell, tells a sweeping tale of love, loss, and redemption set in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina during the 1920s and 1940s. The story follows Alice Murphy, a literary editor, and Billy Cane, a young soldier, as they navigate a complex relationship with secrets and revelations about the past. The musical explores themes of love, loss, and redemption through the lives of Alice and Billy, who discover a shared past and a connection that changes their lives. The story is set against the backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, a location that evokes a sense of history and natural beauty. The musical features a variety of musical styles, including bluegrass, folk, and Americana, reflecting the musical influences of the creators. "Bright Star" is inspired by a true story, adding a layer of authenticity to the narrative.

Meet the Beatlemaniax-USA
On Saturday April 19th, there was a British Invasion of the Scottish Rite Theatre by the Beatlemaniax-USA, tribute band. The theatre was alive with music from the Beatles. From Ed Sullivan to the White Album those in attendance were awed by the great music and entertainment from the Beatlemaniax-USA. There was an atmosphere of excitement and singing by the audience along with the band. "While my Guitar Slowly Weeps was sound perfect and brought me to tears" Anonymous. "Closed my eyes and thought I was transported in time to a live Beatle concert"
